Acclaimed jazz singer Rhenda Fearrington will perform at a Jazz Vespers Service at the United Methodist Church in Havertown on Sunday, October 30 at 7:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Rhenda Fearrington, a New York native, is a charismatic dynamo who sings jazz standards and originals with a contagious energy that is always inventive and always swings. She has sung back-up for Roberta Flack and Mtume, spent years as a commercial/jingle singer, and toured for 15 years with her “Feel Sooo Good” show, a motivational children’s program. Outside of music, Fearrington is a writer, well-read jazz blogger, and columnist. “In essence, “I consider myself a storyteller,” she told the prestigious “Driven” website. “Whether it’s in the music field or for the literary field, I have exercised my ability to express myself a number of ways.” Rhenda Fearrington will be accompanied by, among others, two area jazz giants: pianist Adam Faulk and bassist Nimrod Speaks....
