About

Mexican-born Grammy-winning pianist Arturo O'Farrill is a storied musician, composer and founding artistic director of the Afro Latin Jazz Alliance. The son of legendary Afro Cuban jazz musician and composer Arturo "Chico" O'Farrill, he has taught master classes, composed for films, performed around the world at prestigious halls and festivals with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Wynton Marsalis and Harry Belafonte, and directed the orchestra that has preserved much of his father's music.
