Gifted jazz guitarist CHARLIE APICELLA headlines our series on FRIDAY, MAY 10. His IRON CITY quartet includes noted jazzmen GENE GHEE on sax, organist RADAM SCHWARTZ & drummer ALAN KORZIN.

Weaned on the music of iconic guitarists Wes Montgomery & Grant Green, Apicella nurtured his love of music & considerable talent on guitar with private lessons & mentoring from jazz legend Yusef Lateef & guitar greats Pat Martino & Dave Stryker.

In little more than a decade, his star on the jazz scene has risen quickly. Credited with a busy performing schedule at important jazz venues & a growing list of leader recordings, his May show celebrates the release of his new CD, "Groove Machine."
