Bursting at the seams with recorded media--some of the records spill over on the floor--this South Street record shop is filled with albums, CDs and 7-inches from labels large and small from around the world, as well as the latest releases from Philadelphia bands.
The relative lack of genre-mincing in the store's organization allows for serendipitous record finding; just try and resist that copy of Theatre of Pain while you're looking for the Modest Mouse singles compilation. Head upstairs for vinyl and a used CD selection so extensive that you're sure to leave with something you never knew you needed. Only have a pocket full of spare change? Check out the 99-cent bin.
